Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced monitoring inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on April 9, 2019 from 11:15 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. There were twenty-seven children in the care of six staff. Five children's and five staff records were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at the present. Areas observed were: story time, outside play, hand washing/diapering and bathroom procedures, transition, lunch and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seem comfortable with their daily routine and schedule. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-G Description: Based on observation, the center failed to label a bottle containing bleach water with it's contents. Evidence: 1. One spry bottle containing a bleach solution was not labeled with its contents. 2. Staff confirmed the bottle was not labeled. Plan of Correction: The classroom teacher labeled the bottle with its contents.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-2 Description: Based on record review the center failed to obtain fingerprints for one board officer by September 22, 2018. Evidence: 1. Board Officer's #1 file was reviewed. 2. Board Officer #1 did not have documentation of obtaining fingerprints by September 22, 2018. 3. The director confirmed that fingerprints had not been obtained. Plan of Correction: Fingerprints were obtained on April 10, 2019.
