Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-E-2
Complaint related: Yes
Description: Based on staff interviews, it was determined that the morning drop off classroom has been operated beyond the allowable ratio of one staff:5 children on various occasions within the past month. Evidence: Children age 16months through older 2's are dropped off in basement classroom A upon arrival each morning. The Inspector was able to determine that routinely throughout the past month, the drop off classroom has operated beyond the allowable ratio of one staff:5 children. It was reported to the Inspector that a large number of children arrive between approximately 7:15am and 7:30am. During this 15 minute period, there have been as many as 12-15 children present, with only 2 staff members assigned to their direct supervision.

Plan of Correction: An additional staff member will open the second two year old room at 7:00am separating the young and older 2's. The older Toddler room will also open at 7:00am so Toddlers will be separated from the 2's. [sic]
