An unannounced Monitoring Inspection was conducted today from 6:40am to 8:00am. There were 25 school-agers directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 7 children?s records, 0 children's medications and medication authorization records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, arriving to care, eating breakfast and preparing for school. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-40-J Description: Based on review, the facility did not ensure that they were updating, at least annually, the injury prevention procedures, based on documentation of injuries and a review of the activities and services. Plan of Correction: Will review at the end of the school year.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that the most recent violation notice was posted. Evidence: Observed that the most recent violation notice was in a binder in the SACC office space and not posted. The most recent violation notice posted was dated 12/8/2017. Plan of Correction: Will post by the end of the day.
