Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on direct observations and inspection of furnishings in four classrooms, the Center failed to maintain the free-standing cubbies in a safe and operable condition. Evidence: The LI inspected the wooden cubbies that were positioned against walls in each of the 4 observed classrooms. Cubbies in two classrooms, (ages 2 - 4's and 3's classrooms) were not anchored for stability. The wooden cubbies were easily rocked back and forth when the LI used one-hand at the top of the unit to check for movement.

Plan of Correction: Maintenance will be scheduled to check all shelving units, the furnishings will be anchored to the classroom wall for stability.
