Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director and owner beginning at 8:40 AM and ending at 11:00 AM. There were nineteen children in the care of seven staff during the inspection. The children were observed finishing and cleaning up after breakfast. Hand washing procedures were observed and in compliance. Children were also observed playing with toys and manipulatives. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Four staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Four medications were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 3/20/19. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as 3/21/19. The most recent fire inspection was dated 12/21/18. The most recent health inspection was dated 2/14/19. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation, not all of the areas inside the center were maintained in a clean and operable condition. Evidence: In the toddler classroom, there was debris on the changing pad. There was also food residue and ants on the table and window ledges. The light in the bathroom on the main floor was not functioning.

Plan of Correction: The toddler room was cleaned during the inspection. The center stated that the bulbs would be changed in the bathroom.
