Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 to determine the program's compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 9:45am and concluded the inspection at 12:30pm. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 158 children. The center?s assistant director assisted the inspector throughout today?s inspection. Upon the inspector's arrival, the children were engaged in a variety of activities. The inspector observed and inspected each classroom and completed formal observations throughout. The children in the Blue Room were observed as they separated into two groups where one group went out to the playground while the other received a music lesson. The children participated in a dancing activity after they read the book ?Happy.? The children in the Orange Room were observed during bathroom breaks, washing hands, and later during an art activity. Some of the children in the Orange Room classroom were outside during a portion of this observation. The staff were observed doing name-to-face checks as the children moved from one location to the next one. The children in the Gold Room were observed playing in centers and during a one-on-one activity with a staff member. Children were also observed outside in the playground. The areas where children receive care were inspected and found to be in compliance. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu and various parent information. The center's first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Four emergency medications and authorizations were reviewed, 10 children's records and emergency contacts for 10 staff on site were reviewed on 04/17/2019. The licensing inspector reviewed ten staff records on Friday, April 19, 2019 from 9:15am to 11:50am. There were no violations cited during the inspections.
