An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 77 children in care, with a total of 9 staff members assigned to their direct supervision. Children's records, staff records, staff training, background checks, the physical plant, children's medications, over the counter products, children's nutrition, and classroom programming were inspected today. The children were observed playing outside, engaging in circle time discussions and group prayer, eating snack from home, painting floral pottery, and enjoying classroom Montessori activities. The children were to be served cheese quesadillas, cucumber slices, mixed fresh fruit, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:00am and 12:00pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on a review of staff health records, it was determined that one staff person has not obtained a repeat TB health screening within the past 2 years. Evidence: Staff person C has an expired TB screening. This screening expired on 12/2/18. Plan of Correction: I will ask her to get a repeat screening done this weekend.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record E does not include full emergency contact information. This file does not include: the address for emergency contact #1; the second listed emergency contact is the parent. Plan of Correction: The parent will be asked for the missing information.
