An unannounced mandated was conducted on 05/02/2018. The inspection began at 9:40 a.m. and ended at 1:10 p.m. There were 42 infant and children in care with staff supervising and maintaining ratios at all times. The director/licensee was also present. Infants were observed being fed at the table, being fed a bottle, playing, and napping. The children were observed washing hands for lunch, eating lunch, playing outside and inside, and during rest time. No medications are being administered at this time. Five staff records and five children?s records were reviewed. Corrections from the last inspection had been corrected. Violations are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center did not maintain the center outside in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed the rubber bridge on the playground that was starting to crumble in 2-3 spots. Plan of Correction: The director said that she was aware of the problem and plans to fix it with heavy duty glue.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B Description: Based on measurement, the center did not maintain the required depth of resilient surfacing. Evidence: 1. The inspector measured 2-4 inches around the tire swing and the around the red now turned pink slide. Plan of Correction: Mulch will be moved around on the playground and or ordered.
