Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted from 10:19 AM to 12:35 PM. Today, there were twenty-four preschool age children with three staff and two co-op parents. I viewed program activities, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, equipment, posted information, agency inspections, emergency supplies and drill records, daily routines, field trip procedures, injury records, five records for children, three staff records, records for two co-op parents, staff qualifications, staff training, indoor and outdoor areas. Today, the children enjoyed a walk to the UVA campus and eating snack outside on the grounds of the campus. They carried binoculars made during a craft activity. Learning activities have been offered according to themes such as food, simple machines and camping. Group times with stories and music have been regularly conducted. The staff were observed providing adequate supervision during transitions and outdoor play. Let me know if you need any assistance. 540/430-9259
