Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:30am -11:00am. Upon arrival there were 52 children in care with 16 staff present. A sample of 4 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed in addition to 2 medications. Children were observed singing songs with staff, playing in learning centers and during circle time. Infants were observed being fed and during tummy time.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure all areas and equipment of the center, were maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the school-age room there was peeling paint on the wall leading to the playground and the wooden door frame to the back door had chipped paint.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the program director during the exit interview: A work order has been placed to have the wall painted and door frame repaired.
