A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 05/23/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The licensing inspector conducted a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection of the facility. Upon arrival there were 17 children in care with 4 staff present. A sample of 2 children and 2 staff records were reviewed. The center did not have any children with a diagnosed food allergy at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on a record review the center did not have a written procedure that addressed the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions of the center are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The owner/director verified she did not have a written procedure that addressed the continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions of the center are maintained during an emergency included in the emergency preparedness plan. Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the owner/director during the exit interview: The director did not realize this procedure was required. A procedure will be completed and incorporated in the center's emergency plan.
