A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 8:00am-9:20am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the start of the inspection, there were 45 children and throughout the inspection, 14 more children arrived, for a total of 59 children in attendance with 4 staff members. The first aid kit, evacuation drills, 4 medications, 3 injury reports, 5 children's records, 4 staff training records, the emergency plan, emergency materials, and the physical plant were reviewed. The children were observed washing legos, painting, creating bead projects, reading, playing card games, cleaning up and being dismissed to school. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
