Comments:
An announced record review was conducted on June 6, 2019. Licensing Inspector reviewed the areas of administration, staff qualifications/training and background checks. The sample size of records reviewed were three. The areas of non-compliance are noted on the violation notice. The results of inspection were reviewed and verified with the Recreation Program Coordinator during the exit interview.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-C
Description: Based on review of 3 of 3 staff records and staff interviews, the licensee did not ensure that program directors and staff who work directly with children shall annually attend 16 hours of staff development activities that shall be related to child safety and development and the function of the center. Evidence: The record for staff #1 only included 14 hours of annual training and not the required 16 hours. The Program Coordinator confirmed there was only 14 hours available to review.

Plan of Correction: We will ensure staff members get proper training hours.
