Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 12:11 PM to 6:55 PM for the review of supplemental health and safety requirements. Today, there were fifty-five children in care, ages two through five years, with eleven staff. Twelve children, ages one through three years, were in the care of four staff during extended hours of care. Four school age children received evening care at the center with two staff. I viewed operational responsibilities, record keeping, children's information, reports, caregiver training, hazardous substances, behavior guidance, hand washing, emergency planning and drills, continuity of care, primary caregivers, allergy documents, transportation, nutrition and food service. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
