Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:45 am-1:15 pm. 97 children were in care with 13 staff members present. Children were observed engaged in group activities such as dance performances, arts and crafts, playing board games and eating lunch. 6 staff and 5 children records and medications were reviewed. Rooms being used during the summer were measured. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B
Description: Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a sage locking method. Evidence: A cabinet under the sink in Room # 124 had bottle of hand sanitizers and disinfectant wipes. The cabinet was not locked and the items were accessible to children.

Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked during the inspection.
