An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on July 16, 2019, from approximately 2:45 pm until 5:00 pm. Upon entrance there were 20 children and 5 staff present with children. The record review sample consisted of 5 children's records and 3 staff records. Children were observed during snack time, working on art projects and during free play. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover the subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Areas of noncompliance are identified on the violation notice.
