Comments:
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection Monday, July 22, 2019 from 11:45am to 2:15pm. The children were observed listening to a story, eating lunch, and later resting on rest mats. Today for lunch they had turkey meatballs, peas, quinoa, apple slices and milk. All classrooms were inspected today. Five children's records and three employee records were reviewed during this inspection. Medication is not administered. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last fire drill: 06/07/2019 Last shelter in place drill (practiced monthly): 06/11/2019 Last Health Inspection: 01/04/2019 Last Fire Inspection: 04/09/2019 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Balanced Mixed Age Group-11:2 If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact your licensing inspector, Roshon Casey, at (804) 662-9760.

Description: Based on observation on 07/22/2019, the center did not ensure that staff shall sit with children during meal times. EVIDENCE: One of the two staff present at lunch time did not sit with the children during the meal.

Plan of Correction: There will be a staff person sitting at each table.
