Technical Assistance:
The following was discussed with the program director and owner: Emergency plans

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between 9:30am and 11:30am. At the time of arrival there were 5 children in care with 2 staff present. Children were observed playing a card game with the children in the school-age room. Two staff and one child's record was reviewed. There were no children with diagnosed food allergies and no medications. Emergency plans were reviewed.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-B
Description: Based on a record review the center did not ensure all procedural components were included in their emergency plan. Evidence: The center's emergency plan listed an off-site address as their shelter-in-place instead of within the facility. The plan also did not address the sounding of alarms for all drill and communications methods.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the director during the exit interview: It was in the center's original plan and removed when it was revised. The director is working on another revision of the emergency plans to include all required information and it will be checked for accuracy.

Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2
Description: Based on observation the center did not ensure the most recent inspection of the facility was posted in a conspicuous place in the center. Evidence: The last inspection of the facility was not posted on the parent board or anywhere else in the center.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action plan was provided by the program director during the exit interview: The director was confused as to which inspection and parts of the inspection to post. The director posted the correct violation notice during the inspection.
