06/14/19; 07/15/19 Unannounced complaint inspections were conducted on these dates in response to information reported to the licensing office concerning care and supervision of the children in care. Based on observation and staff interviews there is NOT evidence to substantiate the allegations. However, during the inspection violations were found that had not been reported. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on a tour of the building, the facility failed to ensure that equipment is in a safe condition. Evidence: 1. In the twos' classroom and the schoolers' area the shelving units are not attached to the wall. They present a tipping hazard. Plan of Correction: The director reported that the shelves were taken down during installation of new flooring. They were reattached with screws after the flooring was installed, but the screws have since pulled loose from the wall. The director will ensure that the shelves are reattached to the wall securely.
