Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted today from 10:05am to 1:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 51 children were present with 13 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: playing outside, engaging in water play, playing with blocks and puzzles, singing songs, listening to story time, eating lunch, and doing arts and crafts. Programming, menus, the physical plant, emergency procedures and drills, 5 medications, allergy action plans, and 6 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Please contact me at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov with any questions regarding this inspection.
