An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 13, 2019 from approximately 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The director was present for the inspection. The child to staff ratios were deemed in compliance with licensing standards. There were 7 preschool children in care at the time of the inspection. There was 1 staff member and three working parent volunteers working directly with the children. The licensing inspector observed children participating in a variety of activities. The staff and parent volunteers were observed to be engaged with the children in age appropriate activities and to be meeting the needs of the children in care. Children bring their own lunch from home. A snack is provided by the facility. All areas of the facility including classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, and outdoor play area were inspected. The facility had the following posted: license, last inspection, emergency numbers, evacuation maps/procedures, daily schedule, menu, allergy information and various parent information. Medications and medical authorizations were reviewed. There were several staff and/or parent volunteers on site with current MAT, Daily Health Observation, CPR and First Aid certifications. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The last evacuation drill was conducted on 5/21/19. The last shelter-in-place drill was conducted on 5/3/19. Health Inspection: 9/17/18. Fire Inspection: 12/17/18. 5 children's records, 1 staff record, and 4 parent volunteer records were reviewed.
