Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on September 20, 2019 from approximately 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Eleven children were in care and three staff were on premises during the inspection. Staff and children were observed in the classroom engaged in activities to include lunch time. Interviews and interactions were conducted and no medications are administered. Five children?s records, four staff records and four corporate officer records were reviewed. The director was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based on a review of staff records, the licensee failed to ensure that staff obtain and submit results of a follow-up tuberculosis screening a least every two years for two of four staff.
Evidence: 1. Staff #1's record contained a negative tuberculosis screening/test dated September 1, 2017 and Staff #3's record contained a negative tuberculosis screening/test dated August 30, 2017. 2. Administrator #1 acknowledged the subsequent screenings/tests have not been completed within the required two year time frame.

Plan of Correction: Per the director, these screenings/tests have already been scheduled for the following week.
