An unannounced inspection was conducted from 11:50 am ? 3:20 pm to investigate a complaint regarding Special Care Provisions and Emergencies - Preventing the spread of disease. Based on evidence obtained through classroom observations, interviews with staff, and a review of documentation, the complaint was considered to be valid. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-490-B Complaint related: No Description: Based on staff interviews, it was determined that not all children were excluded as required to prevent the spread of disease. Evidence: Staff identified six children with potential communicable diseases and the children remained in the classroom until they were picked up by parents. Children were not placed in a separate quiet area designated for ill children as required until pick up. Three children had confirmed cases of the disease. Plan of Correction: Will ensure that sick children are moved to the designated quiet area until pick up in the future.
