A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 between 3:50 pm to 5:45 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The licensing inspector observed 39 children being supervised by 3 staff including the site supervisor. During this inspection, the children were observed by the licensing inspector completing a variety of to include transitioning indoor from outdoor play, completing bathroom breaks, eating snack, and participating in various center activities.The children's snack today consisted of baked plain chips, salsa, and water. The licensing inspector also completed observation of parent drop off and sign in during the inspection. The following information was reviewed: emergency supplies, required postings, fire and shelter-in-place drills, injury reports, and children's allergies.There were five children?s records and three of the staff's emergency contacts and required certificates of completion were reviewed during this inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-520-B-11 Description: Based on review of children's record and interview with staff, the center did not obtain a written allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy.
Evidence: In Child#2's record (start date 9/19/) there was no written allergy care plan found for a diagnosed food allergy. Interview with staff confirmed a written allergy care plan was not available for review during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Site director will follow up with parents to obtain a written allergy plan.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on interview with staff, the center did not include continuity of operations procedures to the emergency plan.
Evidence: During the inspection, the staff confirmed that the continuity of operations procedures was not included in the emergency plan available for review.
Plan of Correction: AM will ensure that a written procedure is provided to show the continuity of operations procedures to emergency plan.
