10/16/19 Arrived 8:20am Departed 9:35 am
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
Fifteen children were present with three staff and two volunteers.
The children were arriving, eating breakfast, singing in group time and working in centers.
Files for five children were reviewed.
You reported that you are not yet using the new playground.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-C
Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that there are two persons on duty at all times when children are in care.
Evidence:
1. At 8:20am, the beginning of the inspection, child #1 arrived with parents who stayed.
A second child arrived at 8:30am and the parent left. At 8:34am a third child arrived and the parent left.
At 8:36 child #1's parents left, leaving one staff member with three children until the bus arrived at 8:45am.

Plan of Correction: The parents were notified in writing and will not be allowed be drop off their children until a second staff member is present when the bus arrives at approximately 8:30 am.
