Technical assistance was offered regarding central registry checks, staff qualifications and medications.

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:45 am to 1:00 pm. There were 102 children 27 staff members. The children were observed going outside, doing circle time, playing in small groups and eating lunch. 5 children's records and 6 staff records were reviewed. Attendance forms, emergency drill records, first aid supplies and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Evidence: Child # 1's record was missing information for persons authorized to pick up in case of an emergency.Plan of Correction: I will get that information from the parents.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain complete records for staff.
Evidence: Staff # 2's record was missing written information for 2 emergency contacts.Plan of Correction: The information was completed during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-D Description: Based on observation, a program leader was assisting more than two aides.
Evidence: In the Toddler's classroom, Staff # 1, program leader, was assisting three assistant teachers. None of the three assistants were lead teacher qualified.Plan of Correction: We will work on making one of the three assistants lead qualified.
