Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/22/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Children were observed singing and dancing with handkerchiefs, learning about foods, reading books, building with legos, being fed a bottle, napping, having diapers changed, hand-washing, and having tummy time. Reviewed 4 children's files, 4 staff files, emergency evacuation plan and drills, emergency supplies, first aid kit, attendance, menus, fire and health inspections, and physical plant. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Should you have any questions, please contact Georganne Buccine (georganne.buccine@dss.virginia.gov)
