An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted November 20 2019 between 10:30am and 1:45pm. There were 103 children in the direct care of 20 staff members. Children were observed painting, having tummy time, dancing, and playing on the playground. The center is clean, organized, and each room has age-appropriate materials for the children in care. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review, 1 of 5 staffing records reviewed did not have documentation that staff resubmitted a TB test result or screening every two years from the date of the first screening or test.
Evidence: Staff #1 record has a documentation date of 1/30/2017Plan of Correction: Staff will submit it today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G Description: Based on direct observation, the center did not ensure that all food brought from home is dated and labeled in a way that identifies the owner.
Evidence: In the Pre-K classroom, lunch boxes were labeled with children's names but they were not dated.Plan of Correction: They were corrected immediately. Dates were put on all school lunches. Teacher are aware that this is done on a daily basis.
