Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director, who was present with 69 children, most of whom were napping and 10 staff. The children in the two infant rooms were awake, on the floor and being talked to and nurtured by the teachers in those two rooms. Seven medications were reviewed as well as 8 injury/accident reports. Six staff and children's files were reviewed today and determined to be complete.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-330-B
Description: Based on observation, it was determined that the mulch on the schoolage playground was no longer resilient.
Evidence:
At the end of the blue and tan slides as well as surrounding the swings, the mulch was compacted and has started to degrade into soil and is no longer a resilient surface.

Plan of Correction: A mulch order had been placed before the visit and it arrived 11/26/19.
