Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 94 children with 32 staff on site. Walk thru of all classrooms conducted today. When the Inspector arrived, the children were eating lunch and transitioning to nap time. Lunch today was pasta, salad and fresh apples and bananas with milk to drink. Medication was reviewed that was found on site. Staff interviews conducted regarding the newly implemented programming for the 3 Pod. Children were observed washing hands before lunch and after lunch and transitioning to their cots for nap. Staff knowledgeable of individual needs of the children such as diet, food allergies and other medication needs. A total of 5 staff records and 8 children's records were reviewed. Recordation was found organized and complete. This inspection began at approximately 11:30am and ended at 1:45pm Thank you for your cooperation today. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-450-A
Description: Based on observation, one child was sleeping on a surface that did not have a bottom cover.
Evidence: In 3C, one child was napping on a bench located in the 3C classroom. The bench had padding on it with holes and cracks, exposing the foam. The bench also did not have a bottom cover.

Plan of Correction: This child was moved to a cot used for napping with both a bottom and top cover.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation of the diapering surfaces, one are found non-absorbent.
Evidence: The diapering surface located in the 2C classroom had a hole in the mat and is no longer absorbent.

Plan of Correction: We will replace this mat.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G
Description: Based on review of medications on site, one medication was not labeled as required.
Evidence: Medication for Child #9 is a prescribed medication. This medication was not in the original pharmacy container with a pharmacy label.

Plan of Correction: We will request a pharmacy label for this medication.
