An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:50am to 11:15am with the director and assistant. There were 14 children in care, all were four years of age, supervised by two staff. The children were observed during circle time where they discussed the weather and calendar, practiced counting, and had show and tell. They then transitioned to centers where they made sculptures out of marshmallows, played with playdough, painted candy canes with marbles, and had sensory play with various beans. Five children?s records and two staff records were reviewed. The Center has two staff with current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation. Two medications and authorization forms for one child were reviewed and were in compliance and the center has two staff current in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed and were in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 12/2/19 and the most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 5/22/19. The most recent Fire Inspection on file was dated 8/13/19 and the most recent Health Inspection on file was dated 8/27/19.
