Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/11/2019 from 7;35am to 9:00am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 43 children (12yrs.) supervised by 5 direct care staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed painting a robot and snowflakes, playing computer games, and engaged in various board games. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.

If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Anansa Archer-Hicks at (703) 268-3295 or anansa.archer-hicks@dss.virginia.gov.
