A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/16/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 118 children (3-5yrs.) supervised by 21 direct care staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 10 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed drawing, playing with playdough and in sensory tables, working with rhyming words and counting bears and money, and playing with magnatiles, Legos, and blocks. Toileting and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the Violation Notice.
