Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on January 13, 2020 between the hours of
10:00 a.m. through 1:05 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Fifty-two children
were enrolled and forty-one children were in the care of eight staff members and one administrator, on
this date. There were six children records, eight staff records, medication and documentation for two
children, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, health inspection, and fire inspection reviewed.
Diapering procedures, hand washing, bathroom procedures, free play, circle time, reading, singing,
outside play, daily schedule, transitions, naptime, bottle-feeding, and art were observed during this visit.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two
inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that
are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations
of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Please contact your licensing inspector at (540) 430-9259 if you have questions concerning this inspection, the subsidy health and safety requirements, and/or if you need any additional assistance.
