A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on Monday, January 13, 2020 between 10:50 am to 12:35 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The licensing inspector observed 24 children being supervised by 5 staff including the site supervisor. During the inspection, the licensing inspector conducted observations of the children in care participating in various activities to rotating in a variety of centers, working on #5, completing bathroom breaks, interacting with peers and staff, and transitioning to gym area. The program's designated childcare areas, bathroom were inspected. The required postings were reviewed. The first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. There were five children's records reviewed by the inspector. The licensing inspector reviewed six staff's emergency contact and required certificates of completion. Medication is being administered, medications, and written authorizations were reviewed for the center's compliance. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
