Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 03/06/2020 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
An unannounced renewal inspection occurred from approximately 2pm-3:50pm. There were 23 children in the direct care and supervision of 3 staff. A sample of 5 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed eating snack and engaged in activities with staff. One new staff member has been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the teacher. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on observation, staff did not have proof of completion of the Preservice update training.

Evidence:
Staff A did not have a certificate of completion for the preservice update training, to be completed by 03/01/2020.

Plan of Correction: Staff stated it may be at the office.
