Discussed with Summer Camp Director that Licensing is required to do two mandated visits for the summer as of July 1, 2016.
Today an unannounced monitoring visit was conducted with the Center Director. This visit took place in the morning between 10:45am- There were 11 children with 2 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning snack, free play, blocks, coloring/drawing and large motor activities in the gym and in transition for afternoon dismissal. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, fire drill log, medication and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation of the physical plant, a cleaning agent was found accessible to children. Evidence: Upon arrival, a cleaning agent was found hanging from the children coat rack unlocked and accessible to children. Plan of Correction: Staff immediately removed the cleaning agent during this inspection.
