22VAC40-185 SPECIAL SERVICES.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:45am-1:15pm. There were 60 school age children directly supervised by 11 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating snack. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not ensure each staff member submitted documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening. Evidence: Staff B (date of hire 06/10/2017) was missing documentation of a negative tuberculosis screening. Plan of Correction: The staff member did have a screening completed. We will get the documentation and place it in the file.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A Description: Based on record review, the center did not maintain complete staff records. Evidence: Staff A and B are missing two references. Plan of Correction: We will get the references completed by tomorrow.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-G Description: Based on record review, food brought from home was not labeled with the children's names. Evidence: Lunches were labeled with a date but not the children's names. Plan of Correction: We will make sure to put the name and date of lunches.
