Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced renewal inspection conducted today, June 13, 2019. The on-site inspection was from 11:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. On this date, there were 26 children present in two groups and in the care of six staff members. There was one additional staff member available to assist if needed. There were 29 children enrolled in camp this week. Observations were made in both groups. Eight new and returning staff records were reviewed. Five children's records were reviewed. Four staff members and three children were interviewed. The medications and medication authorization were reviewed for one child. The exception to compliance was noted on the violation notice and the risk rating assigned to the violation was noted on the supplemental page. The theme for the week was Outer Space. Some items reviewed/observed: transition to lunch, lunch, free play, swimming, required posted information, over-the-counter skin products and parental authorizations, first-aid kit and emergency supplies, documentation of evacuation drills, and dismissal procedures. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G
Description: Based on review of medications for one child and confirmation from the director, one child's medication was not in the original labeled prescription container. Evidence: 1. The emergency prescription medication for Child A was not in the original container showing it was dispensed from a pharmacy and did not contain the prescription label with the prescriber's instructions, pertaining to the dosage, frequency, and manner of administration.

Plan of Correction: The director will ensure that the she obtains the prescription container for the medication with the prescription label attached.
