Today an unannounced monitoring visit was conducted with the Provider-Mrs. Janeth Torrico. This visit took place in the morning, there were 7 children present with the provider and 2 assistant for a total of 27 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed having morning free play, snack, nap time, lunch. Positive interactions were observed between the children and the staff. The children were observed having goldfish for snack and cheese pasta, bell peppers and tangerines and milk. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and provider records, fire drill log, attendance record, and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E Description: Based on observation of the bottles and infants in care, the infant bottles were found with child's name however the date was missing. Evidence: 6 infants were present in the family day home, and all of the infant bottles were found labeled with the child's name however it did not include the date. Plan of Correction: Provider stated that the date will be added to all of the bottles.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-B Description: Based on observation of the children during snack time, the children's hands were not washed with soap and running water. Evidence: One child were observed during snack time and there hands were not washed prior to eating. Plan of Correction: Provider stated that there hands are usually washed. Child's hands were washed immediately.
