Comments:
Conducted an unannounced renewal inspection. Observed 5 children = 10 points with the Provider. An adult living in the home was also present for a portion of the inspection. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. 4 of the 5 children were napping during the inspection and were being monitored via audio/video and checked on physically by the Provider every 10-15 minutes. The 1 child that was awake was having quiet indoor play time. The home was found to be very clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The Provider exceeded the annual training requirements for 2014. Required documents were posted. Record keeping remains thorough and well organized. Fairfax County has approved the zoning special use permit submitted by the Provider to maintain a capacity of 12 children on the State license. Inspection conducted 12:50-1:55pm.
