An unannounced monitoring inspection was done today beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. The licensee and household member was present with two children. The points were at four and in compliance. The LI reviewed two children's and on staff and a household member's record during the inspection. The children were observed during arrival from the licensee's sister program and and during their free play time playing with a variety of floor activities, and nap. There is no medication administered by the Provider and she continues to participate with the USDA food program. Discussion about chemicals that are stored in the child care area, marking children gone on attendance records once they leave on the school bus, providing the household member with all assistant paperwork since he is now on the application as the assistant and training log that is found on the dss website. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A Description: Based on review of staff records, the licensee failed to ensure that all required training was obtained. Evidence: 1. The inspector found that staff # 2 had 8 of the required 16 hours of training for 2014. Plan of Correction: The licensee will document all training obtained.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, the licensee failed to ensure that all areas and equipment were maintained in a clean safe and operable condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector found that the landing of the front door had two exposed nails. Plan of Correction: The licensee will remove the nails ASAP and will monitor.
