54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Twelve children were present with the provider and three assistants. Total 28 points. The children were observed playing outside, eating lunch, and resting. The children made bunny hats this morning and will have an Easter egg hunt this afternoon. Two new children have been enrolled since the last inspection. Their records were reviewed today and found in order. The provider has MAT certification, first aid and CPR training. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C Description: Based on record review, the provider did not document any emergency evacuation drills for the months of February or March 2015. Plan of Correction: Monthly evacuation drills will be conducted and documented.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-E Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that all bottles are labeled with the child's full name and date. Findings: At the time of the inspection, the inspector found that children's bottles were not individually labeled, but kept in a plastic bin with the child's name on the bin. Plan of Correction: Children's bottles will be individually labeled with the child's name and date.
