Comments:
Arrived 11:40am Departed 12:45pm An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Two children were in care today, plus two of the provider's grandchildren. The children were watching television and playing with toys. Three children's and two household members' records were reviewed for compliance. Thank you for your cooperation. Please contact me if I may be of service. The provider's responses for the plan of correction were not received as of April 14, 2015 and will not appear on this Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-30-E
Description: Based on the review of 11 children's files, the facility did not ensure that the services of the home are conducive to the child's well being. Evidence: 1. The file for Child #10 indicates that the child has a bee allergy. 2. The provider stated that the mother of child #10 informed her that the child requires an Epi-pen for this allergy. 3. The provider is not MAT trained and provides no medication administration. 4. There is no Epi-pen in the home for child #10.

Description: Based on the review of 11 children's files the facility did not obtain all necessary information for actions to take in an emergency. Evidence: 1. The record for child #10 indicates a bee allergy. There is no written information for actions to take in an emergency.
