Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed crib sheets needing to be clean prior to a child being placed in the crib, and loose dirt should be brushed out.

Conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection. Observed 6 children = 16 points with the Provider. Ratios were in compliance and supervision was constant. Children were observed coloring, reading a story, counting, letter and object recognition, doing yoga, and taking a water break. The Provider was actively engaged with the children, providing instruction, and giving each child praise and encouragement for efforts made. The Provider demonstrated patience and spoke to the children in a calm tone of voice. The daycare areas of the home were clean, safeguarded appropriately, and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. According to the menu breakfast today included: english muffin, pears, and milk. Required documents were posted. Record keeping violations found. Inspection conducted 9:35-10:50am.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
