Technical Assistance:

The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 10:20am to 12:30pm. The children were singing songs in group time upon the inspector?s arrival, and they were later observed playing outside. After outside time they had morning snack, which consisted of fruit cups and graham crackers. They listened to stories and then took a nap. After naptime the children will have lunch. On the menu today for lunch is meatloaf, lima beans, mashed potatoes, corn and milk. Today, there were four children, totaling eight points, present with two caregivers. Two children?s records, two caregivers? records were reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 4/30/2015 Last shelter-in-place drill: 4/23/2015 The violations from the previous inspection in November of 2014 were checked for corrections. Description: Based on observation on 05/14/2015, the provider did not ensure that there weren't any fire hazards in the home. EVIDENCE: The smoke detector on the main level of the home was not working. The batteries needed to be replaced. The provider shall comply with the requirements or recommendations made by the fire prevention or building officials to eliminate fire hazards.

Plan of Correction: Assistant went to the store and purchased batteries and replaced the non working ones with the new ones during the inspection.
