- Technical Assistance:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted May 29, 2015 from approximately 2:15pm to 4:20pm to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. Some but not all standards were reviewed. In attendance were eight non-resident children being supervised by two caregivers for a total of 24 points. Children were observed sleeping at naptime, having their diapers changed, playing with toys, playing on the deck that has been set up in centers by the provider, and eating snack. Afternoon snack consisted of graham crackers and milk. A complete walk through of the house was completed during the inspection. During the inspection the emergency supplies were inspected including the first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio. The provider stated medication is not being administrated at this time. Transportation is not being provided. Three children and one caregiver?s records were reviewed. If you have any questions regarding today's inspection, contact the licensing inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on review of three children's records, one record did not contain documentation of a physical examination. Evidence: During the inspection, the licensing inspector observed the record for Child #2 (enrollment date 07/26/14) did not contain documentation of a physical exam. Plan of Correction: Per provider - I will ask the parent to bring in the physical exam.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on interview, the provider did not ensure a written record of children in attendance was available. Evidence: During the inspection, the licensing inspector asked the provider for the daily attendance. The provider stated it was completed but the written attendance for the current week could not be located while the licensing inspector was on site. Plan of Correction: Per provider - I will make sure I keep the daily attendance in a designated area.
