An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today by the licensing inspector. Some but not all standards were checked today. The licensee and her assistant were present throughout the inspection. There were children asleep in the bedrooms and a group of children were awake in the front room. Two children left shortly after the inspection began, then the remaining children began rest time.

The tall pink slide and the lower red slide are not being used by the children. There is dirt in the fall zones of the two slides, therefore the licensee does not allow children to use the slide until there is grass or another acceptable surface in the fall zone areas.

At the onset of the inspection there was a total of 24 points. Two children left during the inspection reducing the points to 16.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
