- Technical Assistance:
It was discussed with the provider the need to carefully review family circumstances/custody with enrolled families. Shelter-in-place drills were discussed with the provider who stated that drills will be conducted and documented at least two times per year.
The inspector arrived at 12:55 PM and departed at 2:20 PM. Eight children, totaling 23 points, were in care with two caregivers. Nap arrangements, activities and pick-up procedures were observed. Two caregiver records and nine children's records were reviewed. It was reported that no medication has been administered to children in care and no children's injuries were reported. The shelter-in-place location in the home was added to the emergency maps posted in the home. A monitoring inspection was attempted on 10/7/2015. The children were taken on a neighborhood walk by the caregivers and were not at the family day home. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider to review today's compliance prior to the conclusion of the inspection. Please contact the inspector if there are any questions.
