54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:20 - 10:45. There were 10 children i= 28 points in care with two caregivers. A third caregiver arrived within a few minutes. The infants were fed bottles while the older children played with toys and blocks and colored. The exit interview was conducted with the licensee. The violation notice will be e mailed for completion.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-700-C Description: Based on a review of the medication on site, the licensee does not have a doctor's authorization to administer one medication. Evidence - The medication authorization form for child #11 was expired and had no doctor's signature. Plan of Correction: Parent will provide after holidays
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-730-D Description: Based on observation, the medication on site was not kept in a locked place. Evidence - The medication box, which is kept on top of the refrigerator, was not locked and contained one prescription medication. Plan of Correction: It has [sic] done during inspection
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface is not non absorbent. Evidence - There was a very small tear in the diaper mat. Plan of Correction: It has [sic] changed during inspection.
